Samsung, the global technology leader, engaged YUPL to develop critical components of their connected device ecosystem. Our work focused on IoT infrastructure, enterprise mobile solutions, and the integration platforms that enable seamless communication between millions of smart devices worldwide.
Working with one of the world's largest technology companies required us to operate at unprecedented scale whilst maintaining the security and reliability standards expected of a Fortune 50 enterprise. YUPL rose to the challenge, delivering solutions that now power connected experiences for millions of users.
The Challenge
Samsung's connected device ecosystem spans smartphones, televisions, home appliances, wearables, and industrial equipment. The challenge was creating a unified platform that could handle the diverse protocols, data formats, and usage patterns across this vast device landscape whilst maintaining sub-second responsiveness.
- Integration across 50+ device categories and protocols
- Real-time data processing for 500+ million connected devices
- Global deployment across 190 countries
- Enterprise-grade security for smart home and industrial IoT
- AI-powered automation and predictive maintenance
Our Solution
YUPL developed a highly scalable event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka and custom stream processing pipelines. This architecture handles billions of device events daily whilst maintaining the low latency required for real-time device control and automation triggers.
We implemented advanced ML models for predictive maintenance that analyse device telemetry to identify potential failures before they occur. The system proactively alerts users and can automatically schedule service interventions, reducing device downtime by significant margins.
